Hello. Welcome to my website. It started while I was in Europe for a semester, and I've kept it up since then. I'm now at the University of Chicago Law School, living in Hyde Park, and the story continues. If you want to say hi or visit me, email cfloyd at uchicago dot edu.
"Life is nothing if not the sum of your anecdotes." -Scotty The Body, on storytelling "But it ain't that bad, man. Just figure out the system before the system figures out you." -T. Okay. I know I went on a mini-rant about Iraq yesterday. Dan, thanks for the feedback. That Barcelona march must have been amazing. Nonetheless, I remain pro-democracy, even if others think that Iraqi society, and the Middle East in general, isn't ready for it and we have no right to install a new government. It seems to me that war, or the imminent and serious threat thereof, is the only way to dislodge Hussein and his inhumane regime and introduce a just democracy. If you'd like to dispute me, please comment or email. I very well may be wrong, and I'd love to talk about it. Let's just keep things civil.
There. That's the last I'll say for a while about my opinion, unless it changes. The opinions of others I encounter during the next few months, however, are fair game. I will attempt to report in an objective manner on what people think, because that will be an important facet of my travel experience.
