Hello. Welcome to my website. It started while I was in Europe for a semester, and I've kept it up since then. I'm now at the University of Chicago Law School, living in Hyde Park, and the story continues. If you want to say hi or visit me, email cfloyd at uchicago dot edu.

Who is Charlie Floyd? I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2002 with a degree in Letters. Then I decided to get a second BA in German and spent the spring finishing my degree requirements at the Karl-Franzens Universitaet in Graz, Austria. Now I'm at the University of Chicago Law School and loving every minute.
This is my story, day by day.

This week is my last in Norman. I will continue to do what I've been doing: sleeping on couches, gardening, and hanging out. Next week I will make a preliminary visit to Chicago before returning to Tulsa to finalize my preparations for leaving town.

A lot of people have asked me if I'll be sad to leave. My answer is usually, no. I already left town back in February when I went to Austria. That involved pulling up my local roots. Now I'm back, uprooted and drifting, enjoying an encore to my time in Oklahoma. To be sure, I will miss my friends and home, but I've gone through that already last semester. I'm ready for Chicago. And I'll be back plenty. It's only a twelve hour drive.

Speaking of that drive, many folks have said they'll be visiting. For the gamblers, I put the over-under of visitors I expect to receive at five. Contact your local bookmaker.
